Specimen Required
Specimen Type: Nasopharyngeal swab (Polyester, Flocked Nylon, or Rayon)
Container / Tube: Swabs should be placed in a sterile tube without medium or in a nonnutritive transport medium (Liquid Amies or Liquid Stuart). Swabs placed in viral transport media are NOT acceptable.

Special Instructions
Specimens should be tested as soon as possible but may be held at room temperature for up to 5 days or refrigerated for up to 7 days prior to testing.
Do NOT freeze samples.

Times Performed: Day Shift only (0600 - 1430)
Maximum Turn-around Time: 24 hours
