Important Note

Digoxin specimens should be drawn at least six to eight hours after the last dose. If toxicity is suspected, specimens may be drawn at any time.

Serum Clot Activator Tube (RED) or

Serum Separator Tube SST (YELLOW)

Handle and store specimens in stoppered containers to avoid contamination and evaporation.

Centrifuge specimens to remove the serum from the cellular material within 4 hours of collection.
