Handling and Stability

Specimen Stability: 4 hours

If transport time will exceed 4 hours, send platelet-poor plasma frozen to -20C or less.

To obtain platelet-poor plasma: centrifuge, separate plasma, recentrifuge, and separate plasma into a transport tube.
