Important Note

Hemolyzed specimens are unacceptable due to the high concentration of iron in hemoglobin

Lithium Heparin Plasma Separator Tube (GREEN) or

Serum Separator Tube SST (YELLOW)

Handle and store specimens in stoppered containers to avoid contamination and evaporation.

Centrifuge specimens to remove the plasma/serum from the cellular material within 4 hours of collection.
