Note: Tularemia serology will be automatically performed on all requests for Brucella serology due to antigen cross reactivity.

Specimen Type: 2 mL Serum

* Paired acute and convalescent serum recommended

Container / Tube: RED or GOLD top blood tube (for serum)

86622: Brucella total antibody, agglutination

86668: Francisella tularensis total antibody, agglutination

Transport Temperature: 2 - 30°C (Refrigeration preferable)

Specimens are transported to the Montana Public Health Laboratory Monday thru Friday prior to testing.

Days Performed: Varies Monday through Friday

Turn-around Time: Samples are routinely batch tested once per week
