Important Note

Testing may be run on plain red tubes at Benefis Healthcare, but if the test is reactive and a confirmation is required Mayo requires SST serum tubes (gold).

Specimen Required

2 Full Red Top or Serum Seperator Tube SST (Yellow)

Specimen Handling and Stability

Handle and store specimen in stopper containers to avoid contamination and evaporation.

Centrifuge specimen to remove serum from cellular elements after collection.

* Room Temperature - 8 Hours

* Refrigerated - 48 Hours

* Frozen - 4 Weeks
