All meningitis panels are performed as a STAT test regardless of how they are ordered.
Days Performed: Monday through Sunday
Times Performed: All shifts, 24 hours a day
Turn-around Time: Approximately 90 minutes
Special Instructions
Specimens should be processed and tested as soon as possible. If necessary, specimens can be kept for up to 24 hours at room temperature or up to 7 days at 2 - 8°C prior to testing.
